What Penfield Guitar School has to offer:
High Quality 1:1 Instruction
Penfield Guitar School provides dedicated 1-on-1 instruction for students of all ages, skill levels, and musical interests, led by owner and faculty member Django Klumpp. Each lesson is tailored to the individual student, building on their strengths while addressing areas for growth. Students develop a strong foundation and a deeper understanding of their instrument and the music they are learning, growing both technical proficiency and musical expression.
Flexible Scheduling
Students can take 30, 45, or 60 minute lessons at a schedule and frequency that works for them. Lessons are offered during the week and weekends, and scheduling is at the discretion of the student and instructor. Reach out to your instructor directly for their weekly availability.
Performance Opportunities
Each year, students have the opportunity to perform for friends, family, and peers at Penfield Guitar School’s Summer and Winter recitals. These recitals provide students with an opportunity to showcase their musical growth and accomplishments, while also performing alongside their fellow students in a group ensemble. At the end of the Spring semester, students may also participate in juries, receiving detailed feedback and guidance from their instructors and professional guitarists to help support their continued musical development.
Guitar Rentals
For those new to the guitar who do not yet own an instrument, guitar rentals may be offered for a small deposit fee and rate per semester, depending on availability. You may request a rental instrument at the time of registering for lessons, and a rental form will be sent to you.
Trial Lessons
You have the option to schedule a one-time paid trial lesson before registering for the semester. Trial lessons are non-committal, and offered to insure that lessons are right for you.
Extensive Resources and Tools
Penfield Guitar School utilizes a vast pool of resources to aid instruction in each lesson including: method books in the styles of rock, classical, jazz, etc., scores and music available to each student, a variety of musical instruments and tools to help diversify the instructor’s approach to each lesson, and more.
